St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend 24th-26th June 2022Free - $640
St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend will tantalise your taste buds, invoke creativity and teach you about nationally significant coastal wetlands right in our backyard on June 24-26, 2022.
Trek through the bush for an immersive experience as you tour the wetlands and learn more about endangered birdlife, turtles and reef. Tour one of Queensland’s oldest towns with a historical town tour of St Lawrence and experience the cultural heritage of the Koinjmal First Nations people.
General event information
Your general admission ticket opens up the multi-award-winning St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend allowing you to experience the colours of the coast. You can enjoy local market stalls, partake in workshops and Indigenous arts, and immerse yourself in cultural activities while being delighted by show-stopping, interactive and comical roving theatre artists.
With so much to see and do, why not make a weekend of it? Spend the night right by the wetlands in the luxury glamping tents where you will enjoy the morning birdsongs or bring your own tent or caravan and stopover in our unpowered campsite area. Toilet and shower facilities are available at the St Lawrence Recreational Grounds, just a short 5-minute walk from the sports grounds or take the bus between the sites.
Kick off the weekend at St Lawrence Sports Grounds, Railway Parade with the Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, followed by live entertainment courtesy of Bella Mackenzie, and relax with delicious food and drinks to help you settle.
For those that want to experience the magic of the wetlands, you can purchase a ticket to the Sunset Cultural Experience and enjoy a one of a kind Indigenous canapes, dance and cultural experience topped off with Indigenous-inspired cocktails.
Saturday from 9am – till late Our market stalls, creative workshops, presentations, food experiences and bar facilities await. Keep an eye out for our friend and gardening guru Costa Georgiadis from Gardening Australia, giving visitors his gardening tips and tricks on the main stage.
If local cuisine is what you are after, you can purchase a seat at the Matt Golinski Long Table luncheon, where your tastebuds will be teased with local flavours.
*Prices for other experiences such as tours, food experiences and workshops are in addition to general entry costs.
Saturday night from 6pm, we invite you back to the event (or stay and kick from your day), sit back and enjoy the live entertainment by popular the Zac Cross Band, and bar and food experiences.
Sunday is a foodie day with the famous cook-off between Matt, Costa and Koinjmal First Nations people from 11am, and on Sunday night, enjoy an intimate 6-course Flackyard Fine Bush Dining experience with Nik Flack (tickets for this and other food events must be purchased in advance).

By purchasing this ticket, the ticket holder/s have agreed to the full set of terms and conditions as outlined on the ticketing website.
